

Bahasa jawa sampai saat ini masih memiliki daftar stopword yang terbatas. Apabila kata tersebut terdapat pada daftar maka akan dihapus. Teknik ini mencocokkan kata dengan daftar stopword (stoplist). Teknik yang digunakan untuk menghapus stopword disebut Stopword Removal. Proses penghapusan kata ini ini tidak mempengaruhi proses analisis teks. Stopword merupakan kata yang bisa diabaikan dalam permrosesan bahasa alami. The results of this study suggest that the stopword produced by k-medoids clustering with a value of K=13 has an accuracy of 70.5%. Each cluster result is tested by matching it with a stopword of javanese expert identification. This technique groups words by occurrence in Javanese text. This study aims to form a list of stopword using cluster techniques namely K-medoids clustering. Javanese language to date still has a limited list of stopword. If the word is in the list it will be deleted. This technique matches words to a stopword list. The technique used to remove stopword is called Stopword Removal. This word removal process does not affect the text analysis process. Stopword is a word that can be ignored in the natural language process. 2) There are four factors influencing Javanese in learning English pronunciation, among others are age, first language, exposure, and motivation. The major findings of this research are 1) the researcher found that the Javanese learners of English encountered difficulties in pronouncing 13 consonant sounds /ʒ,/ were clearly pronounced by the Javanese learners of English. The data was collected through pronunciation test in a form of audio recording and interview. While the samples are those who had Javanese background. The population in this research was 6 th and 8 th semester students who had already passed pronunciation and phonetics subject.

The researcher used survey as the research method. This research is designed to investigate the difficulties encountered by Javanese learners in pronouncing the English phonemes and identify factors affecting their pronunciation of the phonemes in the Department of English Language Teaching of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP). Thus, Javanese learners of English encountered several problems in pronouncing English phonemes. In addition, English as foreign Language is not widely usedoutside the class. Most of them have have been speaking in Javanese since childhood. Different element between two languages could trigger some pronunciation difficulties among the language learner including Javanese learners of English.
